Dear Mr. Sommerfeld,
I hope you will be able to help me. My maternal grandmother was Justine SOMMERFELD.
She married Gustav BOTHE in Volhynia in 1880. The marriage is recorded in the LDS
History Library Vol. 223, # 1897588, Item 2, Page 463, Reg. # 39. The record shows
that they were married on February 17, 1880 in Heimthal Parish, Volhynia, Russia.
I assume she must have been born in about 1860 in Volhynia (?). She died in Siberia
not too long after the 1915 deportation of the ethnic Germans living in Volhynia.
I wonder if you have her recorded in your database, and perhaps have information
as to who her parents were, and if she had any siblings ? The children of Gustav BOTHE
Eliszabeth BOTHE (SCHNEIDER), born about 1882, Bertha BOTHE (KWAST), (my mother),
born 24 June 1884, and Emil BOTHE born about 1886.
All three children were born in Kutozkowka, Volhynia.
Any information you have would be appreciated.
