Michael SOMMERFELD family from Kolmar.

My gggrandfather was Johann Michael SOMMERFELDT, he went by the name Michael.
All of his sons had Johann as their first name; Johann August SOMMERFELDT,
Johann Wilhelm SOMMERFELDT, etc. And all his daughters were named Anna:
Anna Wilhelmine SOMMERFELDT, Anna Christine SOMMERFELDT, Anna Louise SOMMERFELDT.
One of them went by Anna, but most seemed to use the second name.
It may have been a fashion of the time or the custom of the area, I do not know.
This was in the Kolmar area in the mid 1800's.
