Carl SOMMERFELD, (ca. 1800-1854), Petznick and Gottberg, Pomerania, Prussia.

Carl August Heinrich Ferdinand SOMMERFELD was born circa 1800 and died in 1854 in Petznick,
a small village that was in Kreis (county) Pyritz, in Pomerania, part of Prussia, in the valley
of the Ina River, which flows into the Oder (and the Oder into the Baltic). A nearby larger town is Stettin.
After WW II, this area has become part of Poland.

Before Petznick, Carl SOMMERFELD and his wife Anne Sophie nee DRAHEIM lived in the nearby
town of Gottberg, Kreis Arnswalde (just next to Kreis Pyritz), where several of their children
appear in the baptismal records that were kept as a churchbook, and later microfilmed
by the LDS and kept at the library in Salt Lake City.

Carl's children included:

Carl Ludwig SOMMERFELD * ca. 1822 (no further info).

Henriette Caroline SOMMERFELD * ca. 1824,
married Carl Friederich ZIERATH and lived/had children in the nearby village of Reichenbach, Kreis Pyritz.

Friederich Wilhelm SOMMERFELD * 2/25/1827, Gottberg (no further info).

Ottilie Albertine SOMMERFELD * 6/21/1829, Gottberg,
married Michael Friederich GRAPER / GRAPNER, had (at least) two children, but then she died in 1860.

Ludwig Bernhard SOMMERFELD * 4/4/1831, + 3/5/1834), Gottberg.

Christine SOMMERFELD * 11/20/1833, Gottberg (no further info).
