I came across your information about Friedrich Wilhelm KLATT and Wilhelmina SOMMERFELD. I believe these were my great-great grandparents on my mother's side. They had six children: Emelia, Mary, Herman, Carl, William and Gustav. Emelia who was the oldest was my great grandmother, she and Wilhelmina arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1869, the other five children were born around Brenham, Texas.
I am most interested in finding information about Emelia Klatt's husband. His name was Rudolph KLATT (he and Emelia were cousins, so they had the same last name before they married). He arrived in the United States sometime around 1882. I believe his father's name was August. I have been trying to find information on how Rudolph and Emelia were cousins, but haven't had any luck, if you have any information to share on these people I would very much appreciate it.
