Does anyone have any information on the KLAUCKE [KLAUKE] and BARTSCH families of Sommerfeld,
Kreis Crossen, Brandenburg ?

My 1G Grandfather, Friedrich Wilhelm KLAUKE was born in Sommerfeld, Crossen, Brandenburg, on 28 Oct 1863.
He died in Ipswich, Colony of Queensland on 23 Jan 1953. His parents were Wilhelm KLAUKE [KLAUCKE] and
Christiane BARTSCH.

Friedrich Wilhelm emmigrated from Brandenburg to the Colony of Queensland about 1890. He travelled back
to Germany for a visit in the early 1900's. He returned to his young family (wife and five children) in Australia
via Melbourne arriving in Oct 1902 on the Ship 'Oldenburg'.

The 1911 Address Book for Sommerfeld lists the following people with the surname of Klaucke::

Ernestine Klaucke (Hausbesitzerin - Eichbergstraße 196 b);
Gottfried Klaucke (Ackerbürger Eichbergstraße 217);
Hermann Klaucke (Hilfsbremser - Mühlenstraße 208);
Elisabeth Klaucke (Hausbesitzerin - Mühlenstraße 223);
Ernst Klaucke (Kolonialwarenhändler - Naumburger Straße 27 a);
Paul Klaucke (Bahnarbeiter - Naumburger Straße 39 a);
Hermann Klaucke (Ackerbürger - Naumburger Straße 77);
Gustav Klaucke (Hutmacher - Nicolaiplatz 226);
Marie Klaucke (Ackerbürgerswitwe - Sorauer Straße 173);
Karl Klaucke (Wächter - Weinberge 324 c).

I have conjectured that the widow, Christiane Klaucke (Petersdorfer Straße 154) may be Friedrich Wilhelm's mother.
